My Review: Stephanie has gotten herself into a mess yet again. Her cousin Vinnie, has paired her up with her mentor Ranger to apprehend Samuel Singh. Singh, an illegal immigrant, was bonded out by Vinnie’s bond agency and has turned up missing.
Singh had been renting a room from a crazy old Indian woman and her daughter. This old nut set up an arranged engagement between her daughter and Singh and it must have been bad enough to drive him away. But where did he go? Why did he leave so abruptedly?
Ranger and Stephanie split up and try to uncover all the answers. It doesn’t take long for this audiobook to become full of suspense. Stephanie finds herself in the middle of a killing game and there’s only one way out. Dead.
As usual, Lula is in on the fun and brings more hilarity than normal. She decideds to drop some weight but ends up carrying bacon and pork chops in her purse. Lola is hilarious… and very popular with the local dogs!
Stephanie’s family is a big player in this audiobook too. Stephanie’s mom, dad, grandma and sister are enough to make you feel pretty dang normal at your family reunion. Her sister is nine months pregnant and as big as a barn. Her mom is menapausal. Her Dad is fed up. Grandma is… well, Grandma Mazur! She’s hilarious as always and full of spunk.
I feel like I’m saying the same thing with each one of these Plum audiobooks. They’re great. They’re packed full of suspense, humor and fun. Author Janet Evanovich has created such wonderful characters with dynamic personalities. She keeps me wanting more and wanting to grab that next audiobook. I’m totally hooked on this series!
Narrator Review: Lorelei King is awesome.I was impressed with the addition of Singh’s landlord and fiancee, she had distinct and natural voices for the pair. King’s amazing and I’d honestly recommend her to any new audiobook listeners. She’ll break you in the right way!
