My Review: Plum Lovin’ is the second “Between the Numbers” audiobook in the Stephanie Plum series. In this short novel, Diesel appears in Stephanie’s apartment again, this time requesting her help to play matchmaker.
Don’t get your bounty hunter hot pants on, there’s not a single hunt in this one. There are quite a few laughs though as Stephanie and Lula play matchmaker with a vet, a lady at the DMV, a button factory worker, a butcher and Albert Kloughn. Yup, Stephanie has to figure out a way to get Kloughn married off to her sister Valerie. And Valerie has more family altering news… but you’ll have to listen to find out the details!
This was a lighthearted, easy listen. I always enjoy the dynamics of Stephanie and her family but I really missed Joe Morelli and Ranger. There presences always make things a little more interesting. Sadly, Joe is on cop business during the entire novel.
Narrator Review: Lorelei King does a wonderful job of voicing the entire cast. I still can’t imagine reading Evanovich’s work and not laughing at loud during the narration. Some of the lines, especially from Grandma Mazur and Lula make me crack up! Great job Lorelei!
