My Review:
Since listening to Chelsea Handler’s most recent audiobook Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea I’ve been a huge fan. She’s hilarious! I DVR her talk show every night so I never miss an episode and I get plenty of Chelsea, Chuy and the gang at the round-table.
My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands turns out to be just what you thought it was about. Chelsea’s random hookups in her younger days and the hilarity that ensued. It’s a quick, fun listen but not nearly as good as I hoped. Chelsea’s stories were great and I could see her doing the things in her audiobook… climbing through a window, sleeping in a M&M costume and other craziness.
I think the majority of my disappointment in this audiobook was in the narration. Cassandra Campbell gave it her best shot… but it wasn’t Chelsea. Chelsea’s tones and quips make her who she is and someone else voicing the book didn’t do it for me.
This would have been 10x funnier if Chelsea did the job herself. I’m a fan of Cassandra and I’ve listened to her work before. It’s not her fault this didn’t fly with me…

I think the majority of everyone’s disappointment in this audio-book was in the narration.
